Online shopping is something that we will never tire of — we’ve even practically begged some retailers to set up digital shop in the US. And now that we have a robot that can show us exactly how garments will look on our body types, the only thing we’re missing is an online stylist to help us figure out what to wear.
French Connection‘s YouTube Boutique, or Youtique, does just that. The YouTube channel features British TV personality Louise Roe‘s tips on what to wear and how to wear it. The videos are occasion specific, and Roe offers tips on how to look good at weddings and in the workplace. The Youtique integrates YouTube’s in-video links so that if you see something you like, you’re really only a click away from making it yours.
The site is geared toward the British market — all of those lovely links go directly to the UK store — but with the increasing ease and accessibility of online shopping, we’re sure other labels and online stores will adopt this practice soon. There’s already a slew of videos about personal style on the Internet, so it really was only a matter of time before someone thought to connect the need for advice to the point of sale.
Now all we have to do is wait for Zara and H&M catch up and we’ll be set.
