This Insanely Cool, Sustainable Collab Is Inspired By Mental Disorders
In the wake of the recent tragedies in Bangladesh, the groundbreaking concept of 100% transparency that Bruno Pieters’ company Honest By is founded upon makes more sense than ever. It also doesn’t hurt that it comes out with some of the most compelling collaborations in the biz — like the latest, with astutely-named Indonesian designer Heaven Tanudiredja.
The collection follows similar projects with Calla Haynes and Nicolas Andreas Taralis and consists of a tightly edited range of eye-catching jewels and one chaotically embellished clutch. In an interview with Pieters, Tanudiredja spoke to the unique inspiration behind the line:
“For our Honest by capsule, the starting point was the same as my current collection – the beauty behind mental disorders. Which sounds a bit dark but it’s this beautiful chaos that I am fascinated with. I tried to create this by way of movement, via my ornaments. In this case it’s gold plated hands and chairs paired with vintage crystals.”
Even cooler? Because of Honest By’s commitment to supply chain transparency, the origins of each and every crystal used are outlined online, so you know exactly where your money is going, plus the pieces come with a lifetime warranty.
Take a look through select images of the pieces and the Pieters-lensed campaign below, and for another collaboration we’re loving right now, check out the “quirky elegance” of Peter Som’s Anthropologie wares:
