You’d think that with as much money as Lindsay Lohan has been saving on alcohol recently, getting a little in-store credit wouldn’t be a problem. But according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles today, that’s just not the case.
TMZ reports that Tough As Nails, an LA boutique that specializes in the kind of ultra-expensive clothes and accessories that only the fabulously wealthy can afford, is suing Lohan for $16,880.63. The suit alleges the actress took home over $17,000 in merchandise between November 2009 and this February. She told the store’s owners that her business manager would pay the bill.
But to date, that business manager has only paid the store $180, which doesn’t even cover the tax on a haul of this size.
The suit also alleges that Lohan “had no intention of causing her business manager to pay the entire balance.” At this point, we kind of agree.
Looks like it’s back to the Beverly Hills Courthouse for Miss Lohan. We wonder what she’ll wear for this court appearance. What could possibly go better with her ankle bracelet than something she stole?
