Sweatpants, yoga pants, boxers: I’m over them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not over lounging. I’m 100% all about lounging. But lounging is a special and rare time for busy, working adults, and for that reason is shouldn’t be spent in the dregs of your wardrobe. It’s should be spent feeling fancy.
That’s why I recently traded my oversized sweats for something a little prettier: a silky robe. Wearing my robe has completely changed the way I feel about lounging. Instead of feeling gross and looking like a couch potato, I feel glamorous. Robes are as easy to throw on as elastic pants, arguably more comfortable, yet nothing makes me feel more like Joan Holloway than sitting around in mine with a glass of wine and a good book (or, you know, Netflix).
Life’s to short to look sloppy.
