Rachel Zoe‘s debut clothing collection has made a big impression on retailers all over the country. But none of them seem to have been as impressed as Neiman Marcus, one of the nation’s most important chain of stores. Neiman’s will roll out Zoe’s collection across all 41 of its stores and in Bergdorf Goodman, in time for shoppers to gobble it up for fall.
And Zoe, in her dramatic fashion, told Women’s Wear Daily that that kind of support — which is rare for any chain, and especially rare for Neiman Marcus — is a dream come true.
“It was this dream that I never thought would be reality because I was petrified — I was,” she recalled. “I feel so complete now becoming a designer and having my son. I’m that happiest that I’ve ever been in my life.”
Of course if we’d just had a child and all the critical acclaim in the world, we’d probably be that happy, too. But Zoe already has her mind on the future of the brand. Next she’ll be designing a collection of jewelry to sell alongside the clothing.
“I wish it were for spring,” she said wistfully. “I am dying to do jewelry. I’m gagging.”
We’re just dying to see what she’ll do next. But don’t worry if you’re not in range of a Neiman Marcus. The line will also be sold at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, Selfridges, Kirna Zabête and Shopbop.com.
