Normally, when human beings give dogs people names and dress them up in clothes, we get annoyed. When Roberto Cavalli dresses dogs up in human clothes, we have no choice but to defer to the idea’s awesomeness.
Cavalli, best known for his sandblasted jeans and mixed metaphors (last year he sent a dude down the runway in plaid and sequins) is making another line of sweaters, silk-printed shorts (in leopard print!) and puffer jackets for dogs.
He’s done this once before — In March of last year, The Cut reported on Cavalli’s first line of doggie wear, which included shearling coats and a leopard track suit.
And for a man who has more product ranges and licensing deals than there are days in a fortnight, this was really only a natural next step. The doggie duds are expected to appear in Roberto Cavalli stores by the end of October, just in time for you to show your favorite pooch some cold-weather love.
