Rodarte’s Collection For Opening Ceremony Is Dreamy

Opening Ceremony is one of our favorite stores, and their newest collaboration has everyone worked up into quite an excited frenzy. Why? Because Rodarte is the latest brand to team up with Carol and Humberto (fun fact: the pair actually met the Mulleavy sisters back in their Berkeley days).

The collection will be sold at the Opening Ceremony boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, as well as in 40 stores that Opening Ceremony wholesales to (including Barneys and Holt Renfrew). The women’s stuff retails from $250 to $2200, while the men’s starts at $250 and maxes out at $750. Yes, this is the first time Rodarte has designed a full men’s range.

WWD describes the OC collection as “more whimsical and temperate of design, while less aggressive, dark and fantastical, though with a subtle elegiac quality to the faded floral prints and controlled bohemian mood.” Sounds about right. As Laura Mulleavy explains, the clothes evoke “dusty landscapes,” a sort of American road trip aesthetic.

Check out the photos below! (And as an added bonus, we’ve included Rodarte’s Todd Cole-directed short film starring painfully fashionable 12-year-old Elle Fanning.)
