The New England Patriots quarterback (and, more importantly, husband to Gisele Bündchen) has signed a deal to be the face of Ugg’s men’s division. It’s the first time the brand has ever marketed their stock directly to men, so it makes sense that they’d want someone who’d appeal to people everywhere. And because they couldn’t get Justin Bieber, they got a guy whose haircut looks just like his.
No, we’re kidding. Decker Outdoor Corp (the company that owns Ugg) is super excited about the partnership. CEO Angel Martinez said in a press release that Brady’s three Superbowl rings and personal style made him the perfect spokesman.
“He embodies the stylish casual attitude that is at the foundation of every product we make, and is as much a style icon off the field as he is a playmaker on it,” Martinez said.
We’re not so sure about that last part (you know how we feel when people throw around the term “style icon” with reckless abandon), but Brady’s normally pretty well put together. We’ve never seen the man wearing a pair of Uggs (though, in the press release, he says he’s “worn and loved” the brand for eons), but we guess with multi millions of dollars on the line, that’s neither here nor there.
