Last summer, Topshop and eco-friendly label Reclaim To Wear launched an “upcycled” capsule collection that was made from discarded materials. The line’s success, paired with the companies’ continuous efforts to address design waste, inspired them to launch a second line of summer wares and — hooray! — the lookbook has arrived.
“The inspiration behind the collection was to turn away from disposable fashion, giving a new lease of life to disregarded prints from previous seasons,” explained Stephen Mongan, Topshop head of sourcing and technical services. A further nod to sustainability: the entire line was produced in Britain, an effort to promote local business.
The collection features delicate floral pieces in an array of vibrant colors and cheeky adornments, like lace paneling and checked inserts. From high-waisted shorts to the maxi dresses, the pieces come in all those essential summer silhouettes you’ve been meaning to buy.
What makes this collection especially great is that you can mix and match the pieces, whether you you want to make like Solange and go print-on-print or elect one of the designs to be the pièce de résistance of your ensemble.
Topshop x Reclaim to Wear will be available in stores and on Topshop.com beginning June 20th. View the entire collection below, and really commit to your spring greening with these unique recycled styles.
