The bridesmaid line will be comprised of seven dresses, ranging from $158 to $200. Styles include a one-shouldered bubble-skirted number and a short pleated frock, as well as longer options like a column dress with swag skirt. Wang describes the pieces, which come in “orchid, amethyst, charcoal and champagne”, as “very youthful”.
Interestingly, Wang stopped designing bridesmaids dresses last year as it became too big of an undertaking for her to maintain creative control. She says she is able to do the line with David’s Bridal because of the “tremendous amount of support” they provide. Four shoes are also being unveiled, and they run the gamut from ballet flat to pump to peep toe to bootie. And the pricepoint is rather impressive: all shoes fall between $58 and $98.
We’re dying to see pictures (all we get for now is the image at left), but we’re expecting pretty, pretty things.
