Since reaching out to British designer Luella Bartley for its first limited collaboration line in 2006, Target has kept a firm grip on the pulse of the fashion world. And now WWD is reporting that the next collection on the menu is with none other than William Rast — proving that Target still knows how to win the love of the frugal fashionistas.
The exclusive collection, designed by Justin Timberlake and longtime friend Trace Ayala, will launch in most Target stores and Target.com on December 19 — oh-so-conveniently just in time for the holidays! The line will be available until January 22.
Target spokewoman Katie Heinze told WWD the line will appeal to Target’s diverse customers:
“Our guests have varied tastes and this collection provides the perfect mix of rocker attitude and laid-back appeal for men and women everywhere at affordable prices.”
For now, details of the actual pieces and price range is not known — but let us point out that, because it’s freaking Target, it will be wallet friendly. To put this into perspective, the William Rast brand typically runs from $95 for a “fashion top” to $595 for a leather jacket, though — in light of Zac Posen’s $199 motorcycle jacket, we’re curious to see what they charge for theirs.
In sum, we suggest designating some of your money for this holiday treat — both for yourself and for that hunky, James Dean look-alike car mechanic at the nearby repair shop.
