Tommy Christopher’s Style Upgrade, Now With Video!
A few weeks ago when we heard that we’d be following one of our worst-dressed colleagues around while he got a full makeover at Saks Fifth Avenue, we were more jealous than anything else. We here at Styleite had never met Mediaite‘s Tommy Christopher in person (he covers the White House for our sister site, so he’s never in town!) but as soon as we saw him we realized just how badly he needed and deserved to get a few upgrades to his style.
Admittedly, Tommy is not a fashion guy, but it didn’t take long for him to warm up to the suggestions and help of Eric Jennings, Saks’ vice president of men’s fashion. With the help of some seriously well-made clothes generously provided gratis from the Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection and a little patience (to say nothing of an Equmen undershirt and the help of the grooming team at the John Allan Club) Jennings helped Tommy lift himself out of a sartorial rut that was more polyester tie than tailored tweed blazer.
