Michelle Obama’s Sparkly, Cerulean Blue State Dinner Dress

The White House rolled out the red carpet last night for a state dinner welcoming Mexican President Felipe Calderon and his wife Margarita Zavala, but the best part of the evening might have been First Lady Michelle Obama’s absolutely stunning, sparkling, and cerulean blue gown designed by Peter Soronen. And if that name sounds familiar — in the context of Michelle Obama, at least — it’s because he’s the same designer who turned Oscar de la Renta green with envy over the shimmering, gunmetal grey gown the FLOTUS wore to the Governor’s ball.

Check out her gorgeous earrings!

And as an added plus, while watching news coverage of the dinner, we couldn’t help but notice this adorably tender moment between the First Couple. Look! Even Presidents need help smoothing their eyebrows and picking off lapel lint.
