Still in doubt over the sartorial supremacy of the backpack?

Well, feast your eyes on this snap of Suri Cruise — ever the tastemaker — packing it up in style. But beyond the striking Kelly green hue, Suri really demonstrates one of our favorite facts about the backpack — its hands-free functionality.

Just look! She’s got full use of both the left and the right to enjoy a strawberry cone and cuddle with furry friends. Try doing that with a plain old purse and you’re just asking for trouble.

Now, we’re not sure if Suri’s pack comes in an adult version — it was probably a custom job — so if you’re dying to get the look we suggest snapping up designer, Rachel Comey‘s slightly more grown-up take. Almost as yummy as the contents of Suri’s waffle bowl.
