It’s always been a dream of mine to own original sketches from some of my favorite designers. Could you imagine a framed drawing of a Christian Lacroix couture gown by the master himself? Or a personal sketch of a McQueen coat by the late designer?
Since, let’s be honest, that’s not looking likely for my future or my paycheck, it was exciting to see that there’s an Yves Saint Laurent coloring book I could own, complete with sketches by the iconic designer.
Released as part of the 2010 retrospective of YSL’s work, the book comes in two sizes: a large luxury size which I imagine would make a glorious coffee table book, and a smaller, color-on-the-go version that may replace our daily game of iPhone minesweeper for subway ride entertainment.
