PHOTOS: Blake’s Untucked Shirttails And Tangled Belt

Blake Lively — though she maintains she’s stylist free — usually manages to ace the fashion gauntlet that is a red carpet. But at Thursday night’s opening of Realm boutique in NYC, Lively arrived in one of the strangest outfits we’ve seen in a while — Lady Gaga and her ilk not included, of course.

Lively paired a light blue, mens-style button down with a sequined mini — a look that at first glance looks wonderfully Jenna Lyons-esque, and at second glance just looks decidedly confused. Lively opted for a creative belt loop that, while playful, is also incredibly distracting. Though maybe that’s a good thing, because we can’t stop staring at the shirttails that are peeking out from under her skirt. Was that on purpose? If so, why?

this brings me back to when Sharon Stone wore a White Collar shirt w/ an Oscar de la Renta full-length skirt to the 70th Academy Awards, she was praised for the ubber chic look which we ca nsee everywhere today ( i.e. Jcrew Presentation yesterday in NY had a similar look with a sequined skirt and collar blue shirt, like Lively’s here)

I would of done something better with the belt and not have the shirt peek a boo like that – that’s my criticism but I love you Blake! Rock on w/ your non stylist self ;D you rock!
