Walking the red carpet is a daunting task for any celebrity — the fear of wardrobe malfunctions, interview snafus, and worst dressed lists loom . But while most sartorial slip-ups eventually fade, a few live on forever. In honor of the upcoming Golden Globes, we’ve put together a list of the all-time worst dressed celebrities to ever attend these tony awards. And while some entries are obvious — ahem, Lara Flynn Boyle — some may surprise you. Who would have thought the words Diane Kruger and Marchesa would go together so terribly.
An after-thought: The more we look at these outfits, the more we can’t help but wonder if they’re actually awesome. With the exception of Renee and possibly Beyonce, a lot of these looks hearken back to a time before celebrities actually found red carpets so terrifying — which is to say, they wore what they felt like wearing and they had fun. Sure, these may not be the most flattering or timeless of looks, but they are memorable for a reason: because they’re different.
