PHOTOS: Katie Holmes Is Not So Fabulous In Floral

Katie Holmes joined fellow fashion plates Anne Hathaway and Eva Mendes at Variety’s 2nd Annual Power of Women Luncheon this week, and while they all went with day-ready prints, Holmes’ Louis Vuitton number looked a little off.

Back in February, the dress walked Marc Jacobs’ Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 runway as a tea-length frock, but by the time it made its way to Holmes’ closet, it had been chopped to an asymmetrical mini-dress.

We love the print, color, and style of the dress, but the pointy hemline is throwing us for a serious loop. We’re not sold. Are you?

I’m going to go with… ’90s. In a bad way. (Which I don’t say often.)

Horrid! Both versions look horrid. Floral design is very unflattering. (like something a small child would scribble & smear with crayons & fingerpaints) black waistline “belt” looks terrible on both versions also. (you obviously could not be a pudge) The dress reminds me of the awful floral dresses that were all the rage in my young woman days. Dresses I hated wearing so much, I’d love to erase that time period from my memory. Unfortunately I get reminded of wearing those dreadful dresses, whenever the old photo album gets dragged out & passed around!

I’m sure she’s a nice girl but she should probably stick to her day job (wife/mother/actress) and leave the designing to the designers. That LVT dress was so nice and 50s Prada-esque.. oh never mind. I can tell by the vote results, I”m preaching to the converted.
