Rihanna’s Neck Tattoo Is Grammatically Incorrect
Rihanna is the proud owner of a pretty bad-ass new neck tattoo that reads “rebelle fleur” — which we translates technically to “rebel flower.” But as Popeater shrewdly points out, adjectives in French typically follow the nouns, which means RiRi’s tat should ideally read “fleur rebelle” — but maybe that’s part of the rebellion.
(Though, for whatever it’s worth, Google’s translator didn’t have an issue with the misplaced adjective. But it’s only a robot. What does it know?)
