PHOTOS: Rihanna Wears Crazy Outfit Across The Pond

Critiquing Rihanna’s outfits is starting to get a little Lady Gaga-esque. While they’re not bad, per se, they’re usually not good, and they have a tendency to be just crazy enough to render any criticism a moot point. But when we saw her out and about in London while wearing a tea-length crinoline skirt, ankle socks with heels, a statement tee tied at her midriff, and an oversized grey blazer, we couldn’t help but bite.

Her t-shirt, if you’re wondering, reads: “She died of perfection,” which we think would be a wonderful thing to die from. And while we give her credit for trying out the oh-so-tricky socks with heels trend, the whole ensemble has us scratching our heads. But then again, so does her hair.

Such a fun outfit. She’s a music star and that’s what they do, wear outfits that a little bit out there. The only thing I would change is the shoes; they’re a little bit boring.

I’m also a huge fan of both! Which is why I wanted to clarify: we weren’t implying that she was copying Gaga – but that, like Gaga, it’s kind of impossible to criticize her outfits because they’re not meant to follow any of fashion’s so-called rules.
