Tinsley Takes The Operative Word Out Of The Image Awards
When Tinsley Mortimer dresses herself up in bows and pastels, we usually scratch our heads and wonder what went wrong. Most of the time we try to relax and reassure ourselves that it’s simply a difference in taste that causes Ms. Mortimer to dress the way she does.
Truth be told, we’re rarely impressed with what the socialite wears on the red carpet. It’s typically some combination of Lily Pulitzer meets St. Johns with a touch of a glitter pen.
For the AAFA 32nd American Image Awards, Tinsley continued her fashion faux pas streak with a Atelier Versace Fall 2009 white strapless cocktail dress. The upper bodice has a three-dimensional rose detail which continues down to her waist with it’s silver accent. Tinsley Is a tiny girl, but the large detailing proves unflattering. That, paired with a shimmery clutch and 8th grade hairstyle, gives Tinsley a good case of Styleitis.
At an event centered around “image,” we’re surprised Mortimer didn’t take more time pondering what to wear; and if she did, then we recommend she use some of her hard earned reality television money to get herself a good (or better) stylist. Carrie Bradshaw circa 1998 is not a good look, honey.
