Last night was full of fancy premieres, and picking a best dressed lady was quite a feat. Let’s break down the more memorable looks.
It’s a match made in hipster heaven: Agyness Deyn is collaborating with Dr. Martens.
The modeling industry is obsessed with youth, so it’s not surprising to find out that well known models have shaved a year or two off their age. But supermodel Agyness Deyn revealed Tuesday that she’s a full six years older than she’s claimed to be when she started modeling.
We’ve seen Agyness Deyn be a lot of things, but never a stripper.
This week the Obamas wore awesome things, Elizabeth Taylor‘s jewelry sold for a whole lot of money, and Courtney Love got evicted. We also learned that Meryl Streep is a total kickass feminist, and that Fashion’s Night Out is unfortunately here to stay.
Being in fashion does not guarantee good taste — just take a look at Agyness Deyn‘s apartment!
Last night fancy fashion folk gathered for the 15th annual Accessories Council Excellence Awards. We love the ACE Awards because fashion event red carpets are generally pretty great, and it’s where Kanye told the world that fashion breaks his heart last year. There weren’t any groundbreaking speeches last night, but there were some lovely dresses. Let’s discuss!
In case you missed the memo, the ’90s are back. And some brands, like Doc Martens, are making some big moves in the hopes of capitalizing on that fact. Take, for example, their new ad campaign which features Agyness Deyn speaking soulfully into the camera about her very first breakup.
Because we as a society have given James Franco a free pass to do whatever he damn well pleases, the actor (and artist, et al) thought it would be a good idea to shoot a spread for a high-fashion magazine. And it turns out he was kinda right.
For the past couple of years, Agyness Deyn has been trying to break into the whole acting thing. (Maybe that’s why she was hanging out with James Franco recently?) Now she seems to have landed what we believe is her first role in a feature film. She will be playing
a stripper an erotic dancer.
This week was all about weddings and proms! Because it’s spring! We saw Karl Lagerfeld in the flesh, celebrated Kanye‘s bold fashion choices, and speculated about John Galliano‘s replacement. There was also a whole lot of plastic surgery talk.
Most people spend their weekends catching up on sleep, drinking away a week’s worth of stress, and mentally preparing themselves for another five days of more work and very little play. But if you’re Agyness Deyn, Henry Holland, or David Gandy, you spent this past weekend running exactly 26 miles and 385 yards in honor of a very good cause. And you looked damn good doing it.
When you think about it, Henry Holland‘s approach to fashion is a little like the way Jeff Koons approaches art: make things that pay homage to mass production that are sometimes so bad or so kitschy, they’re actually really, really good.
Agyness Deyn probably has the most exciting hair of any model working today. It’s been short, it’s been long(er), it’s been a few different shades of blonde and brunette. This summer, when she chopped almost all of it off for Coachella, we thought for sure it wouldn’t get shorter. We were wrong.
When photos surface of celebrities before they were famous, people go wild. Whispers of, “So that’s what her nose really looks like,” to “Awww, look how cute,” circulate instantaneously. Luckily for you, we’re always on the look out for pictures of our favorite fashion icons in their days of youth. In this edition of Time Warp, we’re taking a look back at some of today’s hottest models, to see what they looked like before they stalked the catwalks.
Agyness Deyn may have been born in Littleborough, England and discovered at something as quintessentially British as a chip (or french fry) shop, but she’s a veritable New Yorker now. On the heels of the launch of her new
online magazine blog, Naag.com, Deyn and her bestie Fiona Byrne took London’s Sunday Times on a tour of their fave spots in the city that never sleeps.
On Monday, we confessed to being dog people brought you pictures of designers with their four-legged friends. And now, we bring you models with their dogs! We don’t know if it’s because models prefer their dogs to be as petite and cute as they are or because these pictures were taken shortly after these ladies got their dogs, but most of the photos feature really small pooches. Linda Evangelista‘s Enzo is the medium-sized dog in our gallery, but that doesn’t make him any less adorable than the others!
Over the weekend, while you were brunching or shopping for a father’s day gift, Agyness Deyn started an Internet fashion magazine. It’s called NAAG (the name is a combination of letters from Agyness’ first name and her best-friend-cum-editor-in-chief Fiona Byrne‘ last name), and it covers fashion beauty and culture. Our little jaunt around the site [...]
