McQueen Exhibit Second Only To Van Gogh In First-Day Visits
Anyone who still doubts that fashion is an art form would probably be a little miffed to hear that The Costume Institute’s exhibit of designer Alexander McQueen‘s work had the second highest opening day of any exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum. With 5,100 attendees on May 4, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty is second only to Vincent van Gogh: The Drawings, which pulled in 5,400 people on its first day in 2005.
