Amar’e Stoudemire Likes It When Anna Wintour Wears His Jersey
Orchestrated chaos seems to be the name of the game during Fashion’s Night Out, and Macy’s was no exception. We stopped by the New York landmark early in the evening to chat with Rachel Roy and Amar’e Stoudemire about their collaboration for RACHEL Rachel Roy amongst a crazy crowd.
Amar’e Stoudemire Is Launching A Fashion Website
Knicks star Amar’e Stoudemire sure has this fashion thing on lock. There was that Vogue spread (he’s BFFs with Anna), and his Rachel Roy clothing collection comes out this fall (he also went with the designer to the Met Gala), but now he’s taking it to a whole other level. A digital level, that is.
Amar’e To Attend Met Gala, Goes Shopping With Rachel Roy
So we kind of have a thing for Amar’e Stoudemire around these parts. But while we’re the first to admit that our “thing” for Amar’e was inspired, in part, by Anna Wintour‘s thing for Amar’e, it’s official: Mr. Stoudemire is fashion’s favorite athlete. Not only is he working on a line with Rachel Roy, he spent Tuesday afternoon on a shopping date with Ms. Roy, and he’s been invited to the Met Museum’s Costume Institute Gala on May 2 — by Ms. Wintour, we’re sure.
WATCH: Hamish Bowles Is A Basketball Champion In His Spare Time
We thought we were done laughing our faces off at Hamish Bowles‘ story about basketball player Amar’e Stoudemire, but we were sorely mistaken. The behind-the-scenes video from Bowles’ game of one-on-one (and contingent photoshoot) with the New York Knicks forward is as hilarious as the profile in the the April issue of Vogue.
10 Important Things We Learned Last Week: March 13-19
This wasn’t just any week, this was our birthday week! Happy birthday to us! To celebrate, we bring you an all-important recap of the (birthday!) week that was featuring John Galliano, Kate Middleton, Tyra Banks and more. Yay birthday!
Amar’e Stoudemire’s Vogue Issue Is Here And It’s Hilarious
We’ve been waiting with bated breath for Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire’s long-rumored Vogue feature and now it’s finally here. And in what can only be described as the cherry on top of our sports beat cake, the piece was written by european editor at large Hamish Bowles — who you might remember from last summer’s essay on surfing with Blake Lively and who, in this instance, submits himself to a training session and a game of one-on-one basketball with the 6 foot, eight inch phenom.
10 Important Things We Learned Last Week: February 13-19
This week we went to more fashion shows than we knew was possible, consumed a whole lot of Lady Gaga news and got to see Carine Roitfeld‘s last Vogue Paris cover. We were also privy to the Grammys red carpet, some fancy dogs and Lea T‘s Oprah appearance. So, yeah, it was a pretty great week.
Amar’e Stoudemire’s Rachel Roy Collection Has Hoodies & Tees
We’ve had an eventful couple of weeks over here — going to shows, meeting cool people and the like. Among the cool people we’ve been lucky enough to chat with? Designer Rachel Roy and basketballer Amar’e Stoudemire, who happen to be working on a collection together. The collaboration was announced back in December, but Stoudemire gave Page Six some more details yesterday.
At Hilfiger, Amar’e Reveals How He And Anna Wintour Met
We pride ourselves on our sports coverage here on Styleite, so you can imagine our frustration when we saw a 7 foot tall man towering over the runway at Sunday night’s Tommy Hilfiger show and couldn’t quite place him. A flurry of emails between us and SportsGrid later, we had confirmation: it was Amar’e Stoudemire, Anna Wintour‘s new BFF and center/forward for the New York Knicks.
Amar’e Stoudemire Gets Photographed For Vogue
In a weirdly full-circle bit of timing, Amar’e Stoudemire has made good on a rumor that circulated during Spring Fashion Week by being photographed for Vogue on the eve of Fall Fashion Week. Anna Wintour has been courting the dapper basketballer for some time now, inviting him to Fashion’s Night Out and assorted other stylish events.
Amar’e Stoudemire To Design Women’s Line For Rachel Roy
It looks like New York Knicks power forward Amar’e Stoudemire could soon have something in common with Karl Lagerfeld: a clothing line at Macy’s. Page Six reports the 6’10″ basketball star is teaming up with Rachel Roy to produce a line for her Macy’s contemporary label Rachel Rachel Roy.
