Montblanc, purveyors of expensive timepieces, pens, and other such luxurious niceties, celebrated the opening of their newest (and biggest!) concept store ever in Beijing last night, luring stars from both East and West to walk the red carpet and talk about all their fancy wares.

It was a poor showing on Sunday night’s red carpet at the Screen Actor’s Guild awards, which means our Best Dressed List could probably be more accurately defined as A List Of People Who Did Not Look Quite So Awful As Everyone Else.

It’s one thing for fashion magazines to make models look like anorexics afflicted with Avian Bone Syndrome and call them beautiful, but it’s quite another for a women’s health and fitness magazine to take a healthy, fit woman and Photoshop her waist into near imperceptibility. We refer, of course, to the December 2011 cover of Women’s Health, which boasts a sickly looking Amber Heard as cover star.

We’re not sure who votes in the Hollywood Film Awards Gala, but it sure made for a delightful red carpet. Elle Fanning debuted a giant braid, Carey Mulligan modeled the definition of an LBD, Emma Stone embraced the roaring ’20s, Amber Heard finally did Roksana Ilincic some justice (remember poor Dianna Agron’s blue abomination at the Emmys?), Anne Hathaway sparkled in Erdem, and Michelle Williams looked a tad overdressed in full-length Nina Ricci.

Last night, ELLE magazine held their 18th annual Women in Hollywood tribute. And as we began collecting our favorite looks from the evening, we couldn’t help but notice that everyone and their mother was wearing Calvin Klein. What happened?, we wondered. How did Calvin pull off such a complete and utter red carpet takeover? And then we saw the giant CALVIN KLEIN logo emblazoned across the step and repeat and realized they were a sponsor. Victoria’s Secret Releases Annual “What Is Sexy?” List
Since 1977, Victoria’s Secret has defined what it means to be sexy — which in their case involves a good bra and a solid head of beachy hair. Today, Victoria’s Secret released their annual What Is Sexy? list, which this year celebrates “the sexiest Bombshells in Hollywood.”
