How far the mighty have fallen. Left off the list for Wednesday night’s star-studded amfAR Gala (and NYFW kickoff), Miss Lohan had to resort to alternate means of getting on the red carpet.
NYFW‘s celebrity faces turned out last night to kick off the week at the American Foundation for AIDS Research‘s annual fundraiser and gala.
Last night, New York celebrated the annual amfAR Inspiration Gala, while California honored Shirley MacLaine with the AFI Life Achievement Award. But who was best dressed?
The dresses at the amfAR Gala tonight were disappointedly subdued for such a fancy event.
The amfAR gala at in any city’s fashion week is usually considered one of the more fashionable events on an already very fashionable calendar, which is why we’d like to present to you, with very little comment, these photos of Lindsay Lohan arriving at last night’s kick-off party.
At the amfAR Gala in Cannes last week, Gwen Stefani auctioned off the gown she wore to the event. The lacy dress raised more than $125,000 for AIDS research, and we assume part of the reason why the bidding went so high is because Stefani designed it herself. Or did she?
In addition to being one of the leading organizations committed to the continuation of HIV/AIDS research, the American Foundation for AIDS Research has become synonymous with its high profile galas, often attended by more than a few well-dressed ladies. So last week, amfAR supporters celebrated in style in Cannes at the Cinema Against AIDS Gala. We previously brought you photos of Dree Hemingway’s blinding neon Valentino dress. We’re still debating whether we loved or hated her overly matching outfit, so in an effort to distract ourselves, we thumbed through some of the evening’s other outfits.
Dree Hemingway arrived at Thursday night’s annual amfAR gala looking sun-kissed and wearing a champagne and neon body-hugging mini by Valentino Couture. More eye-catching than the dress, however, were her perfectly matching shoes.
