See theThe Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show it in all its bedazzled glory. Catwalkers like Karlie Kloss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio and Roitfeld’s daughter, Julia Restoin Roitfeld were among the lucky ladies who wore hand-selected sparkling garb by some of the biggest names in the game. Not that we’re playing favorites, but don’t miss the male model in a midriff top by Thom Browne.
Ever wonder how absurdly wealthy folks blow off steam in the French Riviera? Well, it turns out it’s by throwing around hundreds of thousands of dollars to get unlikely couples to make out with one another. For a good cause, of course.
Carine Roitfeld is after gold. In a good way.
NYFW‘s celebrity faces turned out last night to kick off the week at the American Foundation for AIDS Research‘s annual fundraiser and gala.
California got a good dose of star power last night. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson, and Katy Perry attended the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles, while Lindsay Lohan and Kimora Lee Simmons celebrated wellness drink Mr. Pink Ginseng out in Beverly Hills. Okay, so maybe the latter event was filled with B- and C-listers, but at least some showed up in pulled-together outfits!
Cannes is upon us! Let the fashion commence!
Actors, singers, designers, and models alike attended Tuesday night’s 2nd annual amfAR Inspiration Gala at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. At the gala, Ke$ha was seen dishing with James Franco and the crowd was treated to performances by Courtney Love and Jennifer Hudson. But as we all know, the highlight of the night happened before the gala even started: the red carpet.
In addition to being one of the leading organizations committed to the continuation of HIV/AIDS research, the American Foundation for AIDS Research has become synonymous with its high profile galas, often attended by more than a few well-dressed ladies. So last week, amfAR supporters celebrated in style in Cannes at the Cinema Against AIDS Gala. We previously brought you photos of Dree Hemingway’s blinding neon Valentino dress. We’re still debating whether we loved or hated her overly matching outfit, so in an effort to distract ourselves, we thumbed through some of the evening’s other outfits.
Scrolling through last night’s photos of the amfAR’s annual fundraiser, we couldn’t help but stop and stare at this image of Karl Lagerfeld and his model-turned-muse-turned-something-or-other Baptiste Giabconi. And that’s when it hit us: if Baptiste isn’t giving the camera his best Blue Steel, well, then Karl ain’t the Kaiser.
Last month, amFar, the Foundation For Aids Research, raised $1.2 million at their highly anticipated annual Gala. This year, one party did not seem like enough for the Foundation. And when there’s reason to throw a party with some of world’s most fashionable and help a good cause at the same time, we’re all for it. Especially when that party involves honoring Jean Paul Gaultier.
