Attendees opt for the soft and the ladylike at the annual benefit.
The fashions at Elle‘s Women In Hollywood Celebration last night were quite a treat, and leading ladies like Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more worked the red carpet in some amazing ensembles.
Not her. Last night, fashion folk werked it at the Metropolitan Opera‘s opening night performance of L’Elisir D’Amore in New York, while celebs stepped out in Hollywood to promote Pitch Perfect and Frankenweenie. But which coast had better style, and who looked best?
I’ve never been to a carnival, but I have to been to a fair, so I expected the usual sloppily dressed crowd, rigged games, and fried food at Wednesday night’s Coach “carnival” on the Highline. I should have known it would be fancy.
One of the most entertaining and yet totally absurd aspects of this job involves trying to ask celebrities the questions we think will give us the most hilarious and/or interesting-to-you answers. Every year, Paper magazine releases their list of Beautiful People. Last year’s list consisted of names like Whitney Port, Kristen Wiig, DJ Cassidy, and Cushnie et Ochs, among others. The list is always diverse. Some on the list are superstars, others rising stars, and others, for lack of a nicer term, are no-names. Regardless of their social status, they’re all gorgeous and interesting and totally Paper.
