Lady Gaga‘s now-famous meat dress has spawned no shortage of imitators, and while the mother monster might think imitation is the highest form of flattery, we’re pretty sure she wouldn’t like for her inspiration to be used for fraud. Because that’s exactly what happened when Sacramento restaurant owner Steve Lightfoot held a bacon bikini contest to benefit a diabetes charity named for his 19-year-old daughter. A charity that reporter Kurtis Ming later found out doesn’t actually exist.
