Filmmakers Defend Portman In Black Swan Body Double Controversy
Yesterday we reported that Sarah Lane, Natalie Portman‘s dancing double for Black Swan, is claiming Portman only did 5% of the film’s full body shots. Now the filmmakers have issued a response.
Body Double Claims Natalie Only Did 5% Of The Dancing In Black Swan
When it comes to Black Swan, everyone wants their proper bit of credit. First costume designer Amy Westcott was upset Rodarte got all the glory after designing seven costumes, and now Natalie Portman‘s body double is refuting claims that the actress did 85% of the dancing in the film. She says it’s more like a measly 5%.

We’ve seen so many Black Swan parodies, that sometimes we forget what the real film actually looks like (besides for, you know, all the Rodarte). Maybe the people over at Fox Searchlight could sense that, because they just released a “a special look at how Black Swan‘s dark, creepy effects were made.” Dark and creepy, indeed! Also, awesome!
