Blake Lively Page 2
Blake Lively looks like her normal hot self on the cover of Marie Claire‘s July issue in a Balmain blazer dress (?).
Sin certainly makes for good magazine content – hell, Vice has built a whole empire on it – but we are somewhat perplexed at Bullett‘s choice of Blake Lively for the cover of their Summer 2012 ‘Sin Issue.’ The Gossip Girl star somehow manages to strike us as both syrupy-sweet and utterly bland – not quite the ingredients for an issue dedicated to dissolution.
Blake Lively tends to divide people into two square camps: those who think she’s a ridiculously lucky girl with one of the most saccharinely sweet attitudes in showbiz… and those who hate her. (And some might argue that both groups are actually made up of the same people.) In any case, the following news won’t do much to dissuade those of you in either camp.
Blake Lively is Elle‘s March cover girl. What are your thoughts?
Target‘s party celebrating its collaboration with designer Jason Wu was a star studded-affair wrapped in a gigantic line drawing of Paris. And Wu told us last night that that’s exactly how it should have been.
Forget her wardrobe of self-styled ensembles, forget her hundreds of pairs of Louboutins, forget even the costumes she wears on Gossip Girl. Blake Lively might be an avid collector of fashion, but her real passion is collecting art.
The holiday season is officially upon us, and Barneys knows just where you want to shop: Gaga’s Workshop.
Gossip Girl sure knows how to attract the cool young things. At last night’s soiree celebrating the series’ 100th episode, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and crew were joined by the awesome one-two punch of Chloe Moretz and Karlie Kloss. Whatever did they wear?!
Hollywood and fashion A-listers went all out for last night’s Chanel-sponsored celebration of director Pedro Almodovar at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. Accordingly, almost everyone wore Chanel, though Chloe Moretz, in a champagne pink dress with textured sequin leggings absolutely stole the show.
What would a Versace for H&M fashion show be without tons and tons of celebrities?
This was the week celebrities (and normal people) wore lots of Halloween costumes! This was also the week we talked to a few of our girlcrushes (Blake Lively! Alexa Chung! Mindy Kaling!), lamented offensive merchandise, and saw what Courtney Stodden looks like without makeup. Oh, yeah, and Kim Kardashian filed for divorce.
Trying to get Blake Lively to notice you at a party is like one of those high school movies where the embattled (yet totally adorable) nerd wants to at least talk to the girl of his dreams before graduation. You don’t want to be pushy, and you don’t want to seem desperate — and you definitely don’t want to bore her once she actually looks in your direction.
Earlier this year, rumors swirled that fashionista du jour Blake Lively would be playing Carrie Bradshaw in a third Sex and the City feature film based on Candace Bushnell’s best-selling prequel book, The Carrie Diaries. Lively’s rep quickly shot those rumors down, but now we hear Lively may indeed be starring in the movie — just not as the title character. So who will play the fashionable foursome? The answers may surprise you.
The royal couple’s trip to the States may be brief (they’re leaving today…sad face), but they’re certainly making the most of it. Last night the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rubbed shoulders with members of the Hollywood elite at the glamourous BAFTA “Brits to Watch” gala in Los Angeles.
Celebrities are good for a lot of things: entertainment, gossip, and — our personal favorite — style. Hollywood’s elite have the opportunity to wear some of the chicest, most beautiful, and most expensive clothing in the known-universe, allowing them not only to showcase trends, but also create them. So when we noticed that celebrity after celebrity was spotted sporting a feminized take on cap toe shoes, we realized we had a footwear frenzy on our hands.
Fact or fiction: Blake Lively is Stella McCartney‘s newest muse. Despite rumors to the contrary, we’re going to have to go with fiction. We think.
This was the week of hats! So many awesome hats! This was also the week Anna Wintour accepted a Webby, Lady Gaga‘s meat dress went on display, and Carolina Herrera was confirmed as Twilight‘s wedding dress designer. And have you seen Elle Fanning‘s stunning Marie Claire editorial? Because you should.
Blake Lively, though certainly stylish, is as known for her proclivity for short skirts as she is for her love of low-cut tops, which is why it was almost refreshing to see her relatively covered up Wednesday night in an ivory confection from Chanel’s 2009 Couture collection. And then we realized she looked like a runaway bride.
MTV award shows are a whole lot looser than most, and that’s always reflected in the red carpet fashion. Where else could Lady Gaga wear a dress made of meat? Last night’s MTV Movie Awards were no exception. Celebs went short and funky, bright and sparkly, and we have a roundup of the night’s most memorable ensembles just for you!
In wonderfully fortuitous timing, Blake Lively’s Glamour cover was released today which is great because there is another set of photos currently floating around the internet of a woman who is not but looks kind of just like Blake Lively except in these photos the woman who is not Blake Lively is naked. (If you want to see them, you can google them.) But if you want to see Blake on the cover of Glamour and talking about the time she tried to smuggle contraband sauce in a teddy bear, keep reading!
