Brad Goreski returns to the small screen for more fashion drama, on the second season of his hit Bravo show.
When it comes to The Rachel Zoe Project, Bravo is totally not shutting it down. Just a week after they broke the news that Zoe‘s former assistant Brad Goreski would be returning to the small screen for season two of It’s A Brad, Brad World, they’ve announced that the show that first launched his career will also be back for a fifth season.
Yep, Bravo has picked up Brad Goreski‘s reality show It’s A Brad, Brad World for a second season!
All eyes were on the perennially bow tie-clad Brad Goreski at 21 Grams in New York last night as he celebrated his new gig with eBay.
We loved Brad Goreski on The Rachel Zoe Project, faithfully recapped It’s A Brad, Brad World all winter, and follow both him and Gary Janetti on Twitter, so we jumped at the chance to cover his book party, which was hosted by Details and held last night at the Tommy Hilfiger store on 5th Avenue.
Last night saw the season finale of It’s A Brad, Brad World and it was a watershed moment, as in this episode, Brad Goreski finally, finally admits he’s made it! But the best part of the episode was obviously Brad and Gary Janetti’s anniversary party, which included a very big surprise.
Oh, Bravo. I thought we were over this! This episode had the perfect blend of domestic drama, styling, and Brad Goreski and Gary Janetti’s dogs, but it was derailed three quarters of the way through by yet another subplot about Brad’s “struggling” business.
Stylist Brad Goreski told us last night just before the Oscar de la Renta show that he was hoping “to see gowns that will definitely end up on the red carpet” by the time the Academy Awards are here. And while the show had no shortage of gorgeous floor-length dresses that Goreski’s clients will love, what we loved was the hyper intelligent interplay between prints, textures and embellishments. Oscar got smart on us in a way that almost blew our minds.
There was just so much to love about last night’s episode of It’s A Brad, Brad World.
Finding the check-in for Saturday night’s Prabal Gurung after party felt like some sort of sartorially-inspired, Sisyphean task. As we walked from one doorman to another (and back again), and from the lobby to the elevators to a freight entrance driveway (seriously), we wondered if the whole rigamarole was worth it. And then we heard Bieber was in the house and realized our tribulations were trivial in the presence of the such teenage glory.
Paper‘s Mickey Boardman is a front row staple and one of the most quotable guys in the biz. We caught up with him at today’s Peter Som show to chat about reality TV and the Rachel Zoe-Brad Goreski feud.
Boy, Brad Goreski was busy this week! The show made a welcome return to fashion storylines with Brad styling a sheet for Details’s September issue. The premise of the shoot was, according to Brad, “How to incorporate color into your wardrobe without looking like, well, me.” The show tried to make us think that he might not pull it off, as Details editor Andrea Oliveri objected to some of the clothes and had some styling suggestions of her own, but it all just looked like the normal back and forth people have while collaborating on a creative project. Nice try, Bravo! You almost had us.
For those of you not familiar with Andy Cohen’s late night talk show Watch What Happens Live (for shame!), our favorite executive-turned-reality-show-host likes to play a game called “Plead The Fifth”, in which guests are forced to answer three titillating questions — and can only “plead the fifth” on one. (It’s how everyone found out Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Gianville slept with Gerard Butler. Anyway!) Last night, it was Brad Goreski’s turn.
We love Brad Goreski but let’s be honest: the man is a crier. And that’s what we love about It’s A Brad, Brad World (and one of the things we loved about The Rachel Zoe Project) — so it makes sense that the producers at Bravo would do anything and everything in their power to up the Tears Per Episode count of the show.
While last week’s episode of It’s A Brad, Brad World was light on fashion and heavy on family issues, this week’s episode was light on fashion and family and very heavy on filler. And Ashton Kutcher.
This week’s episode of It’s a Brad, Brad World was all about family and very light on fashion and styling. In this episode, Brad Goreski’s mom and sister were still in town, and visited Gary Janetti’s parents, sister, and nieces in Queens. Brad and Gary’s parents hadn’t met yet in the course of their ten-year relationship, and there was a bit of hand fluttering and anxiety over how it would go. Luckily, Gary and his Italian family are chatterboxes and Brad’s mom and sister are Canadian, which is basically a recipe for a drama-free meeting.
Brad Goreski, I am still deeply in love with you, because you are eminently loveable, but goodness gracious the “struggling stylist” arc on your show needs to die!
It’s no secret that Rachel Zoe is no longer Brad Goreski’s biggest fan, but did the star stylist (and fellow Bravolebrity) actually tweet that she wanted his show to fail?
Brad Goreski continued his whirlwind of a press tour this morning by appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, where he was once again asked about his former boss Rachel Zoe. But this time, after giving the same measured response he has in the last few interviews, he revealed that he’s a bit peeved with her (non) response to his baby gift.
