There’s nothing worse than an event that doesn’t live up to what it promises on the invite. We’re all aware that ‘cocktails’ are not a few bottles of warm, white Three Buck Chuck on a picnic table. But no matter how strict your interpretation of ‘diva’, last night’s Bulgari event at the castle-like Hotel Polotcki would no doubt fit into it.
And you thought Dolce & Gabbana‘s tax troubles were bad. Bulgari is currently under investigation for allegedly evading taxes on revenue to the tune of 3 billion euros, or $4 billion at current exchange. What’s worse, the brand’s statement on the issue is unsurprisingly indignant.
Italian model Isabella Rossellini is fronting Bulgari‘s fall ads, and she looks awesome.
Fragrance reviews are silly. Fragrance marketing is even sillier. So from now on, we’ll be crowdsourcing our fragrance reviews. Read on to find out what our office thought about the latest scent to land on our desk: Bulgari Omnia Coral.
Did you know Pippa Middleton was a “keen sportswoman”? Because she is! Prince William‘s sister-in-law played field hockey and tennis in high school and college, and she’s still into the whole fitness thing.
The only thing we love more than fashion is fashion for a good cause, which is why we jumped at the chance to help support Bulgari’s efforts to raise money for Save The Children’s equality education funds. And when we found out said efforts involved modeling (for lack of a better word) a chic silver and black enamel ring, well, it was a no brainer.
In a surprisingly drama-free arrangement, LVMH has taken control of Bulgari and the Bulgari family has become a major stakeholder in LVMH. The whole thing sort of reminds us of an elementary school lunchtime transaction (I’ll trade you my chips for your Oreos!), and we mean that in a good way.
We thought Kirsten Dunst‘s ad for Bulgari‘s Mon Jasmin Noir would be pretty standard as far as fragrance ads go. Beautiful person posing with a bottle of perfume in some state of dishabille. It’s a pretty straightforward formula, but photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott saw fit to muck it up with a lion.
Do Gossip Girls Blake Lively and Leighton Meester have a little product endorsement competition coming their way? Just days after the images of actress Kirsten Dunst in the Boy Band of Outsiders lookbook popped up on the web, it’s been announced that she’ll be the face of a new fragrance from Bulgari.
On Thursday, some of Tinseltown’s best dressed stepped out to celebrate Paul Haggis and Simon Fuller at a private party thrown by Bulgari and held at Ron Burkle’s house. And if that wasn’t enough of a mouthful, the event benefitted the Save The Children and Artists For Peace and Justice funds. But while we love ourselves a good cause, we love a red (or in this case, black) carpet even more. Who do you think looked the best?
Julianne Moore’s advertisements for Bulgari are causing some unwanted attention overseas in Venice, where the images were deemed ‘inappropriate’ and too racy for a St. Mark’s Square billboard.
