Calvin Klein Page 1
When we heard Drake would be getting outfitted in custom Calvin Klein for his in-progress ‘Would You Like a Tour’ tour, we expected great things. But what we didn’t expect was the marvelous Canadian tuxedo he wore on stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn last night.
While being the face of Calvin Klein and looking nonpareil in one of Francisco Costa’s Resort 2014 looks would put a smile on our face, that’s certainly not the case for Rooney Mara. Despite sporting an uncharacteristic summery glow (and by this we mean not stone cold pale), the austere actress looked just as downcast as we’ve come to expect in her navy crop top and black skirt ensemble. Courtney Love looked equally as unenthused despite her sophisticated guise in an ivory midi dress with black lace detail. Thankfully there were plenty of attendees who didn’t look quite as doleful, including Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Zosia Mamet, Rachel Roy, June Ambrose, and more.
“It’s not a secret, just personal. You might be surprised. Just between you and me.” Huh?
In celebration of Francisco Costa’s 10th anniversary as creative director, Calvin Klein is switching up the location for its Spring 2013 show. Instead of presenting at the company’s headquarters in the Garment District as they usually do, they will show downtown at the new Tribeca Spring Studios.
We’re shocked to learn that Nick Gruber, Calvin Klein’s salicious tell-all writing, cocaine-possessing, rehab-attending, and friend-punching 23-year-old on-off boyfriend was involved in a bloody brawl in a Hamptons nightclub this past weekend.
Cue collective groan: Nick Gruber and Calvin Klein are reportedly an item once again.
If you saw our post earlier today about Rooney Mara landing her first-ever campaign as the face of Calvin Klein’s upcoming summer scent, then you might accuse us of burying the lede. Because last night CK also happened to hold one of the most glam parties to come out of the Cannes Film Festival this year.
Christy and Calvin; Calvin and Christy. Has there ever been a brand/model relationship more indelible and iconic than this? Today, the house announced that they would be reviving it once again for their fall 2013 underwear campaign, with the 44-year-old super posing for the lens of Mario Sorrenti on location in Vieques, Puerto Rico. In light of this news (which warms the cockles of our ’90s-loving hearts), we’re taking a trip down memory lane and looking back at some of the most memorable images of the past 25 years, ever since Irving Penn first shot Christy for Calvin back in 1988.
We can always count on Zoe Saldana to step it up in the fashion department, and we weren’t disappointed with her ensemble at the Star Trek Into Darkness photocall in Berlin, Germany on Sunday.
Fragrance reviews are silly, but sometimes, fragrance marketing is even sillier. What do “playful pastimes” and “nostalgia” really smell like? So from now on, we’ll be crowdsourcing our own fragrance reviews. Read on to find out what our office thought about the latest sample to land on our desk. This week, we’re sniffing Calvin Klein Beauty.
A couple seasons ago at Calvin Klein, we sat in the second row right behind Anna Dello Russo and were an arm’s length away from Emma Stone and Rooney Mara. This season, we were demoted to the third row, but it’s totally cool because we ended up sitting kitty corner from Jessica Chastain and Olivia Wilde.
For the first time in its history, Calvin Klein will running a commercial during the Super Bowl. And of course, since this is the year’s most watched event, the execs at Calvin Klein are capitalizing on sex appeal more than ever. Kate Up-who?
What do you do when your name is Calvin Klein and you think your 21-year-old boyfriend is cheating on you? Take him to the basement of a moderately-priced chain hotel and hook him up to a polygraph, obviously.
For a woman as enigmatic at Kate Moss, we sure have been getting some choice glimpses into her past as of late.
Calvin Klein was the first fashion designer to enter into America’s widespread cultural lexicon, through sensational (and often controversial) advertising, savvy licensing, and simple, wearable clothing. He got his start in 1968 after founding a coat shop in the York Hotel with $10,000, and over the next three decades proceeded to take the country by storm. So, on Klein’s 70th birthday, we take a look back at seven of his brand’s most iconic moments.
Nothing comes between PVH Corp. and their Calvins.

The fashions at Elle‘s Women In Hollywood Celebration last night were quite a treat, and leading ladies like Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more worked the red carpet in some amazing ensembles.
Lara Stone shows off some fancy dances moves for Calvin Klein‘s newest push-up bra, and surprise! — does it to the oldie-but-goodie jam “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa. There’s really no better way to advertise a push-up bra than to that tune. Of course, the song itself has nothing to do with bras, but who cares? It’s still catchy!
