Camilla Duchess of Cornwall Page 1
We don’t often write about Camilla (as in Duchess of Cornwall, wife of Prince Charles, mother-in-law of Kate), but we’re really into all the purple she’s been wearing in Denmark.
At today’s Remembrance Day ceremony in London, the royals gathered at the Cenotaph war memorial to honor veterans in black coats (adorned with poppy pins) and coordinating hats.
We were totally intrigued when we saw pictures of Kate wearing an engraved charm bracelet this weekend. Who gave it to her, we asked. What does the C stand for, we pondered. Now we have answers, people!
The hat-filled festivities just won’t quit! For the third day in a row the royal family has turned out in formal duds and fancy headwear. First we had Queen Elizabeth‘s birthday procession, then Prince Philip‘s birthday service and reception, and now the Garter Day ceremony.
Clarence House has just released the official royal wedding pictures, and we have them right here!
If the royal wedding is good for anything (and it is good for lots of things!), it’s getting the whole royal family together so that they can be royally royal all in the same place! So many princes, and even more princesses! And some queens! No kings though. Hmmmm.
Tomorrow’s royal wedding will be just as much of a spring fashion show as anything we’ve seen on the runway, with everyone competing to outshine each other — but not the bride to be, Kate Middleton. And with as much speculation about her dress still floating around, we thought it might be nice to see what other people will be wearing to the royal wedding. Without further ado, the names and brands that will be walking down the aisle at Westminster Abbey tomorrow. And yes, these are confirmed.
In today’s StyleDish, Beyonce gets enough Birkins to buy a boat, Queen Elizabeth II gets yelled at for wearing fur and Kate Middleton gets waxed.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall might not be the highest-ranking member of the British royal family, but she’s certainly trying to be its most stylish. The duchess kept warm in an on-trend camel cape at the London International Horse Show yesterday. She certainly looked the part of the horse-y upper crust when she checked out the stables and posed for pictures with a life-sized puppet pony. While we’re not entirely sold on the, uh, suit she was wearing underneath, we like that Camilla is taking inspiration from a few members of the fashion royalty from across the pond.
