It’s very possible that Carla Bruni is pregnant. The rumors are mounting and she’s been wearing a lot of loose clothing lately, but the French first lady is keeping mum. Yawn. The newest bit of pregnancy gossip is pretty great though: it’s been reported that Bruni dropped 300 euros on maternity clothes at an H&M in Paris. Who cares about this baby speculation…she shops at H&M!
This could be totally true or totally false, but just the mere thought of Carla Bruni bringing another child into this world has us all sorts of excited.
So Carla Bruni is only in the trailer for her new movie, Midnight in Paris, for about three seconds. But we love every one of those three seconds more than we’ve loved anything else this morning. Except maybe the muffin we had for breakfast. There was zucchini in it.
Remember a few months ago when photos surfaced of Carla Bruni talking to Owen Wilson and Woody Allen on a film set? The movie they were working on, Midnight in Paris, is opening the Cannes Film Festival this year, which means the First Lady of France could put in a red carpet appearance.
Jean Paul Gaultier does what he wants. He puts Beth Ditto in his runway shows and makes mechanical corsets. His biggest design regret is not designing the condom! And his couture shows are divine. So yes, we think he’s really great. The irreverent designer was recently interviewed by the Daily Telegraph, and now our love for him is even more justified.
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has officially made the transition from superstar to superhero. Back in May we reported that the first lady of France would have her life turned into a comic book saga by the good people at Bluewater Productions, and now we have the photos to prove it!
There’s a rumor going around that Pope Benedict XVI has banned Carla Bruni Sarkozy from The Vatican for taking nude photos in her modeling days. We weren’t so keen to believe it, so we did a little digging.

No one loves Michelle Obama more than we do. But for the sake of the United States’s international supremacy, we’re going to need her to get a tattoo. We vote for a ring of the names of members of her family around her right arm.
Earlier today, StyleList and The Daily Mail — both publications we here at Styleite read regularly — reported that Carla Bruni-Sarkozy took the time to sit down and write some “catty and backhanded compliments” about British first lady Samantha Cameron after their recent lunch in London.
Karen Elson’s debut album debut album, “The Ghost Who Walks,” dropped last week and the flame-haired model is already receiving some seriously positive reviews. But not all models-turned-singers fare so well — though some have certainly come close — and in honor of those who came before Ms. Elson, we’ve compiled a brief history of models who (tried to) sing, in video form, of course.
We love a good vintage video at Styleite, and want to applaud Huffington Post Style for digging up this amazing clip of Carla Bruni on a program called “Eurotrash” in 1996. The then 28-year-old supermodel walks the hosts through a few handy-dandy and sexually explicit phrases in no less than seven different languages.

From italian royalty to supermodel, supermodel to musician, musician to rockstar paramour, and from rockstar paramour to first lady of France. And now she can add one more to her list: superhero. WWD reports: First Lady of France is to be immortalized as the main heroine [...]
