Charlie Rose Page 1
The first ever post-scandal John Galliano TV interview, hosted in the moody confession chamber of broadcast journalist Charlie Rose, aired last night on PBS. In the interview, Galliano looks far from the performer we’re used to seeing on the runway, dressed in a navy suit and blue button up that’s neither slashed into a deep-v, nor fringed with pirate lace, as he expounds on the Vanity Fair interview he gave earlier this month.
We don’t know what could be more confessional than his Vanity Fair profile, but we’re about to find out.
This Thursday, Journalist Charlie Rose and his production team agreed to pay $250,000 in unpaid wages to former interns in order to settle a class-action suit they had filed against him. Could this mean that Hearst will be forced to do the same in the suit former intern Diana Wang brought against the company? And could this be the beginning of the end of unpaid internships?
Nine years ago, Yves Saint Laurent retired from the fashion world. This was a very, very big deal. In fact, it was so big of a deal that Charlie Rose invited Anna Wintour to discuss the announcement on his talk show back in January of 2002. The entire interview with (brunette!) Wintour is fascinating, but we were most shocked to find out that YSL once banned the world’s most famous editrix from his fashion shows.
