The last thing we’d ever want to call Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter is square, but it’s not an adjective he’s afraid to apply to himself. Carter jokingly called himself square because, even though he co-hosted the Christie’s Bid to Save The Earth auction this week, he had never heard of its surprise musical guest, Nicki Minaj.

Last night we attended the Christie’s Green Auction and Vogue Runway to Green fashion show, and it was fancy. So fancy! The well-heeled crowd swilled champagne, bid upwards of $100,000 on items like the “Chanel couture experience“, watched Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha stomp down the runway, and got their groove on to Nicki Minaj. Fancy!
