‘Tis the season for worst dressed roundups (and, of course, for least dressed roundups), and it seems like the same names, faces, and truly terrible gowns keep popping up wherever we look.
Was this just a case of writers losing sight of what crosses the line, or was it something more malicious? We’re still deciding.
We’ve always been wary of lotions which purport to turn our skin a different color, mainly because it’s so hard to tell if that color will actually be the color you want and furthermore, who’s to say that color will even look good on you? Also, no matter what anyone says, it never really looks natural. Anyway, this is all a long winded way of saying Christina Aguilera suffered the spray tan faux pas of our nightmares on Saturday — and at Etta James’ funeral, no less.
Though Sex And The City seemingly refuses to die, the original HBO series did indeed end nearly eight (!) years ago. And back in the day, Saturday Night Live had some fun skewering the pun-heavy antics of Carrie and co.
This was the week that Fall Fashion Week started! As such, we talked to tons of cool people (Tim Gunn, Simon Doonan and Rachel Roy among them), gawked at some pretty clothes and still got our fill of gossip. Allow us to fill you in on Tom Ford, Vogue Paris, Michelle Obama and more.
While we can’t say we paid much attention to last night’s game, the Super Bowl did give us a chance to check out some divas in action. Halftime performer Fergie may have worn $2 million worth of Harry Winston bling, but preshow stars Lea Michele and Christina Aguilera were far more understated.
Not everyone can be the best dressed — otherwise we’d have a really messed up concept of “best” wouldn’t we? But it still makes us pretty sad to see that the women who were worst dressed on The Golden Globe’s red carpet last night are normally on our best dressed lists. But there are certain crimes that we cannot forgive, like wearing the wrong dress for the occasion, or simply not living up to one’s own superstar potential. We’ve simply come to expect more from the ladies on this list. And last night, none of them delivered.
After ogling Lady Gaga‘s ethereal Vanity Fair September cover, we couldn’t help but scour the cover archives for some of nudity’s most celebrated moments — forever immortal on the front pages of fashion’s major publications.
There was a brief moment where Christina Aguilera was channelling Marilyn Monroe. Things got a little better. She opted for Hollywood Glam over her usual Trashy Pop look. But with the release of her new album, it seems that things have gone back to bad. Very, very bad. Christina’s got Styleitis.
