Oscar De La Renta and online outlet retailer, The Outnet, have teamed up on a 24-piece collection set to launch on February 26.
The general consensus among consumers is that they’re over Target‘s designer collaborations, and the most evident sign was the less-than-successful CFDA and Neiman Marcus partnership for the holidays. But Target is still going at it, and has just tapped major Hollywood stylist Kate Young on a limited-edition line.
What are the holidays for if not to bring people together? And who better to facilitate all this togetherness than the collaboration kings over at Target? That was precisely the spirit last night at the launch party for the retailer’s major holiday collection with Neiman Marcus and the CFDA.
We thought Yoko Ono‘s Opening Ceremony line inspired by late husband John Lennon‘s “sexy bod” sounded sweet, but it turns out the collection is just plain naughty — as is the corresponding video!
Just when we thought that we were done with shopping for a few weeks, the commercial for the massive CFDA x Target x Neiman Marcus collaboration comes out. And of course, it’s great.
Yesterday we got some very exciting news courtesy of the online rumor mill that Givenchy would be collaborating with H&M for a collection due out in 2013. And today, the French fashion house has responded.
We’ve always dreamed of owning a classic Carré scarf from Hermès, and news that the brand is collaborating with Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo only makes us more determined.
In order to ring in the holiday season in style, Coach teamed up with “organized noise” duo Karmin and then had Rachel Zoe style them for a super-cute gift guide.
The Styleite team has been test driving Essie‘s winter collection of royalty-inspired polish all week, but we have to admit that while our nails are looking all bright and sparkly, we’re kind of lacking on the arm party front these days. Bauble Bar to the rescue!
On the average day, you’d be hard pressed to get us to stop tweeting for any period of time. But for a good half hour at last night’s Prabal Gurung for Target collection preview, we sadly had to stash our phones away. When we walked into the Target Studios in Midtown, we had to sign an ironclad non-disclosure agreement that forbade us from taking any pics. Of course, that makes writing about the clothes and accessories a bit difficult, but thankfully, the designer himself was on hand and walked us through the collection.
Finally, a collaboration that speaks to our inner Nineties candy raver and our middle school Lisa Frank-aficionado selves, from the unlikely bedfellows of Jimmy Choo and contemporary artist Rob Pruitt.
The Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M is easily one of the year’s best, and we mean that from the bottom of our hearts. And now we’ve got our hands on the entire lookbook with prices. Every. Single. Item.
It’s fitting that last night’s global launch party for Maison Martin Margiela‘s coveted collection for H&M would be held at 5 Beekman Street in Lower Manhattan. The abandoned building is as dilapidated as it is expansive, with nine floors of crumbling brick, peeling wallpaper, and dusty wood floors — a deconstructionist dream for the masses, when you think about it.
