Last month we deemed Glee‘s GQ spread “totally gratuitous.” The photos, which depicted a fully-dressed Cory Monteith hanging out with scantily-clad Lea Michele and Dianna Agron, were shot by pseudo-porn photog Terry Richardson. We find Terry’s formulaic work to be fairly yawn-worthy, but he also happens to completely creep us (and lots and lots of models) out.
Dianna Agron Is Sort Of Sorry For Those Racy Photos In GQ
Earlier this week, we wrote a post commenting on Terry Richardson‘s porn-inspired take on Glee for GQ magazine. While we called the photos about as exciting as “week-old bread”, more than a few others — including the Parents Television Council — have called them “disturbing” and bordering on “pedophilia.” The controversy has gotten so bad that Dianna Agron wrote a post half-apologizing for the photos, and that sucks.

Why does everything Terry Richardson touches turn to porn? We’re not saying Glee is a squeaky clean show — their last episode included a girl on girl reference to “scissoring” — but this spread shot by Richardson for GQ mag just feels totally gratuitous. For starters, why is it that both Lea Michele and Dianna Agron are relegated to varying degrees of undress while Cory Monteith remains fully clothed in every single shot.
