Cynthia Rowley showed her spring 2013 collection in an old, abandoned space on Lower Manhattan’s Beekman Street Thursday night. There were exposed walls and scaffolding, and multicolored confetti rained down from the sun roof several stories above, dotted the floor, and resembled the aftermath of some crazy beach party.
We all know the ins and outs of wardrobe staples — a plain white tee, dark denim, and a timeless LBD come to mind — but the same goes for beauty. Every year, Paper magazine releases their list of Beautiful People. Last year’s list consisted of names like Whitney Port, Kristen Wiig, DJ Cassidy, and Cushnie et Ochs, among others. The list is always diverse. Some on the list are superstars, others rising stars, and others, for lack of a nicer term, are no-names. Regardless of their social status, they’re all gorgeous and interesting and totally Paper.
