GQ’s Men of the Year Awards might originally have been intended to celebrate dudes, but last night’s event was a veritable lady takeover. We don’t the guys would have been overly pissed by the boy/girl ratio, however – particularly as the latter category included Daisy Lowe, a non-accidental wardrobe malfunction and some side boob thrown in for good measure. Whether or not her underwear is actually part of the dress we’re not sure, but we are sure that she definitely didn’t miss a waxing appointment.
Pregnancy and champagne are not renowned for their compatibility. But from what we can see, mom-to-be Charlotte Dellal was on her best behavior at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Final at Cowdray Park this weekend. And who needs a glass of bubbles anyway when you’ve got a sparkly Perspex box clutch that looks a whole lot more fun?
Daisy Lowe has been pretty vocal about her body, and uses every opportunity she gets to educate people that no, not all humans are a size zero, and yes, being curvy is a beautiful thing. She’s even designed a clothing line that caters to women with real curves. In Grazia‘s upcoming body issue, the 23-year-old model is at it again, opening up about her battle with her own body image.
Daisy Lowe is undeniably sexy. The model got pulses racing with her dirty dancing for UK Esquire (as well as with her single exposed boob), but now she’s bearing it all for Playboy. And we have the pictures.
Despite her It Girl status, model, DJ, and sometimes actress Daisy Lowe wasn’t always confident about her body. Known for her risqué cover shoots as much as her innovative style, Low admits that accepting her curvier shape wasn’t always easy.
Daisy Lowe will always be the girl we wish we could dance (and look) like, and we’re totally digging her latest spread in the February issue of Jalouse. She looks stunning in the Paul Schmidt-shot black and white photographs — bold clothing, dramatic makeup and just the right amount of downtown cool.
Model turned clothing designer Daisy Lowe covers the March issue of ASOS magazine (a wonderful example of branded content, if there ever was one) and while the image is gorgeous, what’s inside is even better. In a delightfully candid and bacon-filled interview, Lowe dishes on that dirty dancing video she did for Esquire UK back in June (we loved it, though the accompanying spread was a little base) and makes the bold decision to call Karl Lagerfeld out for not featuring more of fellow “curvy” model Crystal Renn.
Ever since we fell in love with Daisy Lowe (it was love at first sight, there was nothing we could do), we’ve known that she doesn’t have a body like one of the 15 year olds you see strutting down the runway so often. She’s a woman and her body looks like she’s a woman. But despite getting paid to be absurdly beautiful all day long, Lowe’s self-esteem suffered a serious blow recently when she saw pictures of herself on vacation in tabloids.
After ogling Lady Gaga‘s ethereal Vanity Fair September cover, we couldn’t help but scour the cover archives for some of nudity’s most celebrated moments — forever immortal on the front pages of fashion’s major publications.
We have a strange obsession with Daisy Lowe. There’s just something about her that makes us sit through four minute long videos of her wandering an abandoned house in East London while talking about her style idols and inspirations, why she chose to model, and the terrifyingly expensive Gareth Pugh dress she wears to clean the house.
Believe it or not, Daisy Lowe can do more than just dance like a pro in her underwear. Last month, news broke that the model was designing her own line of clothing for French brand Morgan. But would the designs mirror her own unique sense of style, or would she join the ranks of other, well, bad celebrity designers?
Range Rover’s 40th Anniversary party at the Kensington Palace’s Orangery in London yesterday not only unveiled the new and more attractive “baby” Range Rover Evoque, the fête also celebrated the city’s most stylish mom, Victoria Beckham’s new position in the car company as Creative Design Executive.
Daisy Lowe has decided to translate her style icon status into the real thing. WWD reported that Lowe will be the next model-turned-designer, joining the likes of Kate Moss and Jessica Stam.
They say you can’t know where you’re going until you realize where you’ve been. With that in mind, we’re taking a glance back. The past week has been a roller coaster of fashion news and events — and luckily, we were there to catch the good (like Daisy’s dirty dancing), the bad, and the ugly.
Earlier today we found ourselves mesmerized by rock progeny Daisy Lowe’s dancing in a video produced for Esquire UK, and now we’ve stumbled upon the spread for which said video was shot. But as insanely hot as the video was, for some reason these photos just aren’t doing it for us. Maybe because watching Lowe dance felt a little more, well, fun — and these photos feel a little more, well, staged and, for lack of a better word, American Apparel-y. What do you think?
This is a video of Daisy Lowe dancing in various shades of undress and underpants. It is, quite simply, mesmerizing.
If there was an unofficial uniform of music festival season, it would definitely include a pair of denim cut-offs — right along with our trusty knapsack! But, as with many hipster-approved fashion statements, the line between the cool kid brand of ugly and mom jeans ugly is a fine one. Tanks to all the daisy dukes that have been battling it out in the fields at Coachella, we’ve found a few examples to help you avoid a potential cut off catastrophe. Jean-ius, right?
More important than the music at uber-hipster sound festival Coachella is what one wears to it. But while Coachella brings out the crazy in everyone’s style, models during their off-hours are always the most interesting. Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and more spent all weekend doing their best Kate Moss.
