The iconic skull-print scarf Alexander McQueen that was all the rage when it first debuted as part of the designer’s Spring 2003 collection and 10 years later has shown remarkable staying power (this due in part to a revival upon McQueen’s death in 2010). To mark the style’s decade-long anniversary, the British fashion house has enlisted skull-enthusiast Damien Hirst to design 30 limited-edition scarves.
While most of our nurseries featured art along the lines of cutesy mobiles and dancing bear wallpaper, most of us are not one-year-old Harper Seven Beckham, whose bedroom wall now displays the kind of piece that would make most contemporary art galleries green with envy.

We were in full-on cringe mode yesterday when we saw the first cover of Dasha Zhukova‘s new magazine Garage, for which a woman had her vagina tattooed to resemble a butterfly. And that woman says she has absolutely no regrets whatsoever about the painful procedure, or carrying around Hirst work around with her at all times for the rest of her life.
Garage Magazine might be a fashion magazine. Or it might be an art magazine. But whatever Dasha Zhukova‘s latest project is, one thing is for sure: it’s getting people talking.
The always chic auction house Christie’s has teamed up with NBC Universal and some of the most important people in the fashion industry to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day for “A Bid To Save The Earth,” a green auction scheduled for April 22nd.
