Dasha Zhukova Page 1
Fashion made out of food may not be the most original of ideas (see here and here, etc), but we’re suckers for it anyway. The latest venture into sartorial gastronomy (we just made that up!) comes courtesy of Dasha Zhukova‘s Garage Magazine.
We were in full-on cringe mode yesterday when we saw the first cover of Dasha Zhukova‘s new magazine Garage, for which a woman had her vagina tattooed to resemble a butterfly. And that woman says she has absolutely no regrets whatsoever about the painful procedure, or carrying around Hirst work around with her at all times for the rest of her life.
Garage Magazine might be a fashion magazine. Or it might be an art magazine. But whatever Dasha Zhukova‘s latest project is, one thing is for sure: it’s getting people talking.
Anyone who could bring Britney Spears and Takashi Murakami together in crazy-looking photographic harmony wholly deserves the title of genius, and that’s the kind of thing Dasha Zhukova was doing as editor of the biannual POP magazine. And now that news has surfaced that she’s leaving the book, we’re not exactly sure how we feel.
