Seems like the left coast is never short of summer concert fare, and this weekend was no different with 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2013. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Britney Spears, the event brought together bands like Maroon Five and Fall Out Boy with pop-star appearances including Demi Lovato, Emeli Sandé, and Avril Lavigne. We’re pretty bummed we were 3,000 miles away drowning in stuffy art parties in New York, so let’s vicariously relive the fun with a look at red carpet arrivals.
We were hoping for some outré ensembles at VH1‘s annual Divas concert, but, sadly, all we got were snooze-worthy black outfits and equally-boring-but-slightly-more-colorful ones. Yawn.
Recovering bulimic Demi Lovato has called out the Disney Channel on Twitter for airing an episode of Shake It Up in which one of the characters quips, “You are adorable! I could just eat you guys up. Well, if I ate.”
The MTV Video Music Awards are always an excuse for celebs to let a little loose, literally and sartorially. But while some stars definitely went for wacky looks, others played it super safe.
Tweens and teens everywhere are celebrating Selena Gomez’s 18th birthday today. And we want to join in on the festivities by highlighting the newly adult starlet’s mature-yet-playful red carpet picks. If you ask us, she is by far the best dressed Disney star out there. Think of this as our metaphorical birthday cake for the birthday girl.
At last night’s VH1′s Do Something Awards, Lovato appeared in a appropriate yet mature Herve Leger mini dress. And since she did so well on the red carpet, we thought it a good opportunity for us to celebrate Demi Lovato’s style evolution, from an overly accesorized pre-teen to a mature, well-dressed fashionista.
She dazzled us on the Kids’ Choice Awards “Orange Carpet” and makes tweens across the world scream at the very mention of her name. Selena Gomez’s success can be measured by many of her Disney counterparts’ successes — Miley, Hilary, Demi, Vanessa. Their names translate into many things, among them sparkly lip glosses packaged with their respective brands and, of course, dollar signs.
