“It was only a matter of time before my love of art and designing handbags fused together.”
Fashion designer Peter Som has already made a reputation based on his affinity for classic elegance with a quirky twist. Previously, though, Som’s designs were mostly relegated to high-end boutiques and red carpets.
Word on the street (and by “street”, we mean “the web”) is that H&M‘s next designer collaboration will be with none other than Givenchy!
High-end Target collaborations are nothing new, but now Target is teaming up with another retail giant to bring luxury to the masses this holiday season.
We’ll be honest — H&M‘s newest designer collaboration with Italian fashion house Marni sort of snuck up on us. So this morning when we awoke to find the full look book for the collection just sitting in our email inbox, we were more than a little surprised, and a whole lot of delighted.
When designer Doo-Ri Chung‘s collaboration with Macy’s Impulse hits the retail chain’s 631 stores on February 15, she’ll be the fifth designer to have worked with the label. But she told us Tuesday afternoon that she’d be just as happy if she were the fiftieth.
If you were getting tired of designer collaborations, snap out of it. Jason Wu‘s collection for Target will be on the retailer’s mass market shelves at the beginning of February, and photos of what it will look like have just started popping up online.
Derek Lam‘s new secondary line 10 Crosby is a venture into new territory for the designer, but just because he’s making slightly lower priced clothes doesn’t mean he’s ready to jump into the fray of designer collaborations.

It’s not like we’re surprised or anything, but we have to say we’re really impressed with the line of sportswear inspired by civil rights activist and former South African President Nelson Mandela.
It’s the moment we’ve all be waiting for: Photos of Karl Lagerfeld‘s collection for Macy’s Impulse are here, and now we know what every woman in America will be wearing this fall.
Karl Lagerfeld‘s collaboration with Macy’s is launching next month, and now we have our first sneek peek, courtesy of this month’s issue of Vogue and a few sketches revealed in today’s Women’s Wear Daily.
Jil Sander‘s next collection for her award-winning +J collaboration with Uniqlo will be her last. The Japanese mega-retailer announced today that they will no longer be collaborating with the minimalist German designer.
There’s nothing that makes us quite so giddy as a good designer collaboration — especially when that collaboration is a diffusion collection. So when we saw the photos of Matthew Williamson‘s line for Macy‘s, near-Lanvin Hearts H&M levels of bubbly happiness overflowed the Styleite office.
We love it when fashion people decide to do something for charity — especially those with the considerable resources to really make an impact. So when we heard that designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of The Row would collaborate on a line of shoes for Tom’s, the charitable footwear company, we were pretty excited. That is, until we realized that the Olsen-approved espadrilles would cost twice as much as the original shoes.
Designer Christian Lacroix is collaborating on a capsule collection for the Spanish brand Desigual. But he can’t call it Christian Lacroix for Desigual because he lost the rights to use his own name in the bankruptcy meltdown that cost him his couture business.
You know how sometimes you read about a new product and realize immediately you won’t be able to afford it? That’s sort of how we feel about Angelina Jolie‘s new jewelry line.
Some of the best designer collaborations come from unexpected pairings, like Reebok’s Basquiat sneakers or Lanvin for H&M (who really saw that one coming?), but that said, there are some things that just aren’t meant to be combined. Like Teva sandals and stiletto heels.
In this morning’s tryptophan-induced grogginess, we weren’t exactly sure why we were seeing news of a Tom Ford for H&M collection in our newsfeed. But it was there, so our hearts started beating faster as we dreamed and fantasized about what such a collaboration might look like, or what it might cost. And then we clicked.
The madness over the new Lanvin Hearts H&M collection starts today! We’ve cordoned all the photos, video, screenshots and details from the collection into one post.
