Every year, Queen Elizabeth receives hundreds of gifts from princes, presidents, and random weirdos alike. And with 2012 being the year of the Diamond Jubilee extravaganza, the presents were more plentiful than ever. The Daily Mail has a breakdown of the many, many gifts the royal family received this year — though, sadly, not those given to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as those are reported separately — and we’ve plucked out the, shall we say, unusual ones from the bunch.
Queen Elizabeth is still celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, but yesterday, she turned the attention to those who played a role in making her yearlong party a success. She met with Chef Heston Blumenthal, singer and heartthrob Gary Barlow, and a handful of others at Buckingham Palace, but most importantly, she broke the rule of not wearing white after Labor Day. Gasp!
Even though all was certainly not quiet on the Kate Middleton front over in England, it looked like the royal couple’s Diamond Jubilee tour of the South Pacific went off without a hitch. Not so, apparently!
Kate Middleton and Prince William are definitely enjoying their Diamond Jubilee Tour throughout Asia and the South Pacific, despite the ongoing legal battle over those topless pics. Kate’s been wearing fancy designer duds, Wills took off his shoes, and today, the pair showed off their dance moves in the Polynesian island of Tuvalu.
As the legal battle over publication of topless photos of Kate Middleton heats up over in France, the Duchess and hubby Prince William continue their Diamond Jubilee trip through the South Pacific looking happy as ever, with Kate sporting sunny frocks by Mulberry, Jaeger, Jonathan Saunders, and local Island designers.
Despite the frenzy surrounding the publication of topless photos of Kate Middleton, taken while on holiday with Prince William in France last week, the pair continued their Diamond Jubilee tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and per usual, the Duchess chose two spectacular outfits.
Queen Elizabeth II has been a busy, busy girl lately! In the past 25 days, she has visited 10 regions in the U.K. and conducted 83 public engagements. Speaking in our terms, that’s a whole lot of hats.
Queen Elizabeth traveled to the North East of England today, and either we’re going crazy in the blistering heat, or she’s wearing an outfit the same color as orange sherbet.
It’s been relatively quiet on the Queen Elizabeth front lately, but today, we present our homegirl’s latest visit to Birmingham as part of her Diamond Jubilee Tour. Yeah, it’s still going on, but we don’t mind at all!
Kate Middleton is not the only royal who can make things sell like hot cakes. After Queen Elizabeth II stepped out for her Diamond Jubilee carrying her favorite Launer London handbag, the brand’s sales rose a whopping 58 percent and their site crashed due to the insane amount of visitors.
It’s Trooping the Colour time again! What’s that, you ask? Why, it’s Queen Elizabeth II‘s official birthday celebration, always held in June despite the fact that Her Majesty’s actual birthday passed by in April. Apparently this particular celebration is quite separate from the myriad parties and pageantry that have gone down in the past few weeks.
Following yesterday’s monochromatic outfit, Queen Elizabeth opted for an all-lavender ensemble to open a new maternity ward at Lister Hospital earlier today. Yeah, it’s totally her thing.
Perhaps it’s unfair to pit Kate Middleton against her grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth. Both women have great style, not to mention 56 years separating them. But whatever. Let’s do it anyway! It’s a monochrome matchup…Liz the Wiz v. Kate the Great!
It turns out that the pretty earrings Kate Middleton wore to celebrate Queen Elizabeth‘s Diamond Jubilee this weekend were cubic zirconia, not diamond. GASP. (Actually, we’re not surprised.)
Queen Elizabeth‘s Diamond Jubliee is the best. Well, anything Liz does is the best, and we’re more than happy to celebrate her 60 years on the throne.
And Queen Elizabeth‘s Diamond Jubilee celebration keeps on going! The royals have already watched a horse race and floated down the Thames — today they are taking in a huge concert outside Buckingham Palace.
Karl Lagerfeld had quite a busy Jubilee weekend! He covered the Diamond Jubilee barge for French TV channel France 2, tweeted his thoughts, and sketched Queen Elizabeth in her fancy coat dress.
