diffusion lines Page 1
Between his eponymous high end line, contemporary Z Spoke label, and new gig as a judge on Project Runway, which premiered last week, you would think that Zac Posen would have his hands full. But WWD reports that the designer is launching a third line, called Zac Zac Posen, for fall 2013.
Jason Wu, the designer who shot onto the fashion A-list thanks in part to Michelle Obama, is partnering up with Nordstrom on a younger, hipper diffusion line called Miss Wu, set to hit stores in spring.
In case you’d forgotten that Victoria Beckham is designing a lower priced line of clothing, here’s a reminder that it will be in stores faster than you can say, “Diffusion collection!”
As long as our favorite retailers keep teaming up with our favorite designers, we can stave off collaboration fatigue just a bit longer. Next up: Mary Katrantzou for Topshop!
Hat fever is sweeping the nation, folks! We’re certainly not the only ones who’ve been captivated by the Brits’ saucy headwear, and now we can get in on the chapeau action for cheap.
Are you ready to dress your kids up in pint-sized wrap dresses and cheerful prints? Are you ready to do so with Diane von Furstenberg designs at Gap prices? The retail giant may be in trouble, but the rumored DVF/GapKids collaboration has us very, very excited.
We’ve seen our fair share of awesome clothing diffusion collections and shoe diffusion collections as of late, but not any jewelry ones. And you know that we love us some jewelry. It is for this precise reason that we’re bugging out about Pamela Love‘s Topshop collection set to drop next month.
We haven’t made our love for Target diffusion lines any kind of secret (we even wore the Zac Posen snap dress on New Year’s Eve!), which is why the company’s newest collaboration is, well, kind of disappointing.
Yesterday our hearts were all aflutter after we heard that Karl Lagerfeld would be selling his rumored “masstige” line at Macy’s. UnBeige got the delicious scoop, and it sounded super-legit. Today Macy’s confirmed the rumor, but the collaboration entails something a bit different from what we initially hoped for. Karl is indeed teaming up with Macy’s — but only for a limited edition capsule collection.
We’re just as crazy about the Lanvin Hearts H&M as the next fashion-obsessed blog, but when Saturday’s launch came around, we just couldn’t get ourselves to brave the madness. However, there sure were plenty of other people who simply could not be stopped by the fear of riots, hair-pulling and the like. And we have a recap of all the craziness just for you!
We can’t get enough of Lanvin for H&M, and we’re guessing you can’t either. Earlier this morning we showed you some images that have been floating around, but now we have photos from the official lookbook, courtesy of Vogue UK. As we reported, the women’s stuff is all ruffles and bows while the men’s is tailored and formal.
We have always imagined that Lanvin‘s Alber Elbaz was one of the kindest people in fashion, and it turns out we were right. WWD reports that the sky-high titanium heels he planned to use for his spring summer 2011 show made it almost impossible for his models to walk, and when he noticed this, he got a little upset.
When it rains, it pours — and this week it’s pouring leaked images from Lanvin for H&M‘s ad campaign. A new image features two stunning print dresses and one quarter of a very sharp looking men’s suit, plus great-looking shoes and accessories
We’re suckers for diffusion lines. We’ve bought pieces from tons of our favorite designers — Rodarte, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen — for a mere fraction of what we’d spend on their full-range lines. And we’re excited to report that Derek Lam may soon jump on the diffusion bandwagon.
There’s nothing we love more than a good designer diffusion collection, and for a little while we thought there was no bigger news on that front than Lanvin for H&M. But if the rumors about Prabal Gurung designing for Target are true, we may have made that call a little too quickly.
It looks like WWD’s article on Lanvin’s alleged collection for H&M hit a little too close to home. The mass market retailer sent out a press release this morning confirming the collaboration — a week earlier than planned. Details inside.
