Model Maggie Rizer got an awful surprise after getting off a United Airlines flight from New York to San Francisco two weeks ago: Her beloved 2-year-old golden retriever, Bea, who was traveling with her, had not survived the journey.
Tom Brady covers the fall issue of VMAN wearing a fancy Givenchy suit and holding a very ferocious Doberman.
The Guinness Book of World Records’ most expensive pet wedding ever took place July 12 in Manhattan (where else?) at the Jumeirah Essex House Hotel.
It’s Memorial Day weekend, which means the dog days of summer are almost upon us! Let’s ring in the season with some very fashionable pooches.
While models are walking the runways at Lincoln Center, Milk Studios and beyond this week, some tinier (and fancier!) beauties are strutting their stuff over at the Westminster Dog Show. The annual Westminster Kennel Club event wraps up tonight, so we put together a slideshow of the fanciest dogs the show has ever seen.
Normally, when human beings give dogs people names and dress them up in clothes, we get annoyed. When Roberto Cavalli dresses dogs up in human clothes, we have no choice but to defer to the idea’s awesomeness.
It would be selfish, if not heartless, of us to not keep these photos to ourselves, particularly because they focuses on a subject we all live to love: fashion. Here are some of our favorite style-conscious canines. We think it best to let the photos speak for themselves.
They say you can’t know where you’re going until you realize where you’ve been. With that in mind, we’re taking a glance back. The past week has been a roller coaster of fashion news and events — and luckily, we were there to catch the good (like the spot-on choices for the September magazine covers), the bad, and the ugly.
On Monday, we confessed to being dog people brought you pictures of designers with their four-legged friends. And now, we bring you models with their dogs! We don’t know if it’s because models prefer their dogs to be as petite and cute as they are or because these pictures were taken shortly after these ladies got their dogs, but most of the photos feature really small pooches. Linda Evangelista‘s Enzo is the medium-sized dog in our gallery, but that doesn’t make him any less adorable than the others!
We here at Styleite are unapologetic dog people. From our fearless leader Verena‘s French bulldog Dumbo to contributor Hillary‘s toy poodle Roxie, we all love our four-legged friends to death. So it comes as no surprise to us that our favorite designers also love dogs. From Valentino’s pack of pugs to DVF’s adorable furball, these creatures are cuter than anything Erin Fetherston sends down the runway.
